One of my many non-believer friends [he calls himself 'vivsundaymistry' ;)]recently asked me if I believe in God.My response was affirmative.[especially during EXAM times...yeah I do ;)].
Well here is a short story for all you non believers out there .....
Once upon a time a man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't believe that God exists."
"Why do you say that?" asked the customer. "Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things."
The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop.
Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist."
"How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!"
"No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside."
"Ah, but barbers DO exist! That's what happens when people do not come to me."
"Exactly!" affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! The pain and suffering happens when people do not go to Him and don't look to Him for help!
And I really don't know if its HIM, could be HER too,so don't involve me in a gender war now!!
so just 'Pray for me' people...EXAMS coming up!!!
And yeah there is a strong and growing sentiment among the 3 F's [Friends,Family & Foes(if and only if)] regarding my unkept hairs and untrimmed beards[almost]....
I need to go to the BARBER

tats really a nice one!.. a good n simple story to explain god do exist!!...but the thing is u jst rote the story...for ppl to pray for u :P
This story can make a person switch sides from athiest to non-athiest who just do not belives in god....
but i do not belive due to some resons & all... & still i m a non-beliver... A SkEpT !!!!!
I believe the poor man with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard that you described had no money to go to the barber. The barber can't work on him for free, you know. He is earning his bread from what he does. But god could have lent the poor man some job and he would lost nothing. Sometimes what you see is not real like em....a mirage, its just fooling you. How can you believe in something(God) that you haven't even seen?

I'm not a complete athiest neither do I believe that god exist! I believe there is some spirit around us ( Our inner mind ) How can you believe things which you haven't seen in your own eyes? People say nobody has seen god , how could they make a image of him? It is made by us to bring up confidence in ourselves in what we do!
Lol funny thing is most of us pray to god during exams time no offense ! ( We also must know that we would pass only if we study!=| )
Anyway everything depends on the mind set of the people!
